Dear users of eBay,
I have recently tried to buy an item, but got this message , "
I don't know why I have this restriction on my account, but I've never bought something I havent paid for. If anyone else has experienced this problem before, please tell me how to rectify it

It seems that you have had two UPI cases opened. But you are not restricted from buying, just from those sellers that have set that as their standards.

There are one option - pay for what you buy.
The secondary solution is to wait until your non-payment strikes fall over.
If you think you don't deserve strikes, you will need to TALK to eBay.

One thing that struck me was that the message is very clear and I am glad ebay words it like that, and buyers can actually see why their bid is being refused. Maybe it will help make some buyers think twice before they bid.
It is just a pity sellers have to opt in to the system.
Surely if buyers have 2 unpaid item disputes in a certain time span, it wouldn't be that hard to make it an automatic restriction on any bidding for eg a month and even longer for those sellers who opt to choose longer eg 6/12 months
If jttran is correct though and has never left any item unpaid or been in dispute about anything, then it seems a glitch in the system and I would be ringing ebay as dave suggested.
