Really?
I see they have already sold 3 pairs, are the buyers really tied to their end of the contract if they don't read this?

It all depends on where the buyers were typhoon. If the buyer was in the USA they would only pay local postage or possibly it would be Free Postage within the USA/Canada as is quite popular over there.
The OP does not understand that International postage from the USA is very expensive if the seller insists on using a paypal compliant service as is their right.

Sadly too many people were getting ripped off by buyers claiming INR and therefore more and more US sellers will only offer postage which gives them PP protection = with on line tracking & signature. And that does cost about the $30+ for small item.
I imagine they will not sell many of their items to Australia, and I am sure they do not really care. The seller may not even looked at what the price is coming up when you are logged into OZ eBay. I list some of my items internationally, but do not go to look how much is the postage to each country. Although i know it is about $100 for parcels I would be sending. I have had people asking for cheaper way, but there is no way I will post in a way that will not give me PP protection ๐

I believe it would cost that much, expecially if it's a good pair of earrings.. I had to send a video game back to England for a refund; the store recommended that it be sent with tracking so when I went to enquire how much it would cost I would have had to pay $27 and that was just for the minimum tracking.. The next one up was $50 and then $70
In the end I had to send it regular post, and that was $12
If you don't like the postage cost, don't buy them
