It appears to be a new way for ebay to present you with things THEY want you to buy. I don't need any help from them so they had better come up with better ideas and service.....

I rarely buy the same thing twice, so why would I want to see what I have already purchased??? And as as a seller.... overall not happy. I Just looked at my stats for the last 12 months and with twice the listings, half the traffic. Having said that, still more traffic to ebay than anywhere else.:|

I have my bookmark set for the "Buy" page & bypass the "Home" page, so never go to it or see it.

I just looked at it now, & good grief, what a monstrosity of a page. Row upon row, scrolling & scrolling down through the pages, of thumbnails of items I have absolutely no interest in.

So glad my bookmark is for the Buy page & I don't have to look at the Home page again.

I have my favourite set to open on My Ebay so rarely look at home page.I only looked this morning because it came in an email.

JMO but being a boardie who looks at listings on a daily basis is sure showing me some rather 'interesting' stuff that I'm supposed to get all gooey & mushy over & want to buy.;\;\

I quite like it! It's like a Google + feed in look. I think they had to do it as such a large % of buyers are on mobile devices now and that sort of modern visual search is key for the scroll and tap market! You can set your feed to have items in it that your interested in Like your Facebook or Google+ feed, if you don't it will be the computers deciding what you like based on your last purchases or most visited pages etc. (Sometimes with weird outcomes, LOL).

From a pure organic marketing point of view I think it's a real winner eg : If a buyer has recently purchased from me when he makes a return visit to Ebay (A lot of buyer only members enter via Home Page) he will get a few of my recently listed items in his feed, great free advertising for me!)

I have to say I can't see a downside to this...

I think this is one instance where they are providing a great new free marketing service in favour of sellers.

I think it's ok, but it's not like I'll be checking daily for things 'related to my interests' (or things eBay think are related to my interests), just in case something new I don't know about gets listed. If I want something, I'll look for it, and I certainly won't be looking for it there, but I do think it's mildly interesting.

Also, the suggestions on interests to follow included searches I made once, many months ago on a different computer....starting to wonder just how close an eye they're keeping on me, and also, considering their suggestions, I wouldn't trust eBay to buy me a birthday present, as a lot of them have nothing to do with what I'm interested in. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

It's like those "people who bought the item you just bought also bought these items...." thing. There's one item that I've bought a few times, and I'm actually the only person that has, yet when I get shown what other items people (i.e. me) bought, I've never even looked at them before let alone purchased them. :^O

It is just a rehash of items I bought many YEARS ago and will certainly never buy again....as in clothes that were bought for a baby who is now going to school.:O
