ALERT same bidders ALERT same bids BID RIGGING!

My eyes do not deceive me, these two items from the same seller have bidders that place the same bids on 2 exactly same items and WONT FINISH TRANSACTION, then another swoops in raising the bid- on BOTH items.

In the space of 1 week I've seen this taking place - what does eBay think of it....they would know surely, proof of it or not, both items have the same bidders doing a tango worth remembering, kick start the bidding war with high ranking friend's then let the buyer replace bids until the items value is unrealistic with a ring in bidder. This pattern I'll remember.

Not standard practice I'm sure, has it happened to you?

I will need Lyndal to translate that.

She is an expert in translating garbage stuff into English. And your post is definitely stuff.

Sorry Dave, I really cannot help.  I managed to get shill bidding out of the first post but after that I am lost.  Even after reading the thread in the cold light of day when the coffee has kicked in I have no idea what the OP is getting at.

I understand. But don't say I told you so when the same pattern shows up to your bidding.

I'm not here to drum up a squad of supporters from YOU as that wouldn't solve any plot and bagging me won't solve an identified problem (should you lead to defending a criminal act - dangerous, foolish and selfish) So why don't YOU (or any of you) put a sock in it. Ripping people off on a large scale CANNOT be defended no matter what STUFF pours out of YOUR 'social media'. Put a proper reply and make sense yourself, how inconsiderate.

The point OBVIOUSLY is the players who are legitimately bidding only went to a certain point before it became obscene, take those people's names out of the list of bidders and you have on both items single bids going nowhere!. Driving lines of bids to the top that never stop.Who else is bidding!? (Underlined) It will hot up when you're on but its mighty cold when your not.
WHAT !
Are you blind.
Positively added to my post today is, it is not the only shop that's it happens in. Why would I bring a little bag of bird seed when YOU can have an entire paddock of horse **bleep**! If that's the way they play it, then its time to snap them off.
The fun of it is gone if that is all its going to be "as late as possible" - rename eBay to "Bid, but as late as possible"! Or " Everyone Bid At Ye-ende" .EBAYE, the place time forgot........
HaHa!
(Maybe they're warming the place up ....with a little help from some un-named dwivel) but that's OK, you stay as a life time member, I'm getting wise to that. I'm done here.
No transactions involved.

Maybe if you try very hard you could explain the problem that you have with the listings in words that we mere mortals can understand.

Sorry if English is not your first language....maybe ask someone for help to word your questions so we can help you.

And it is not very good form to abuse other posters when they try to help.

fair enough. I know you have a rep for pulling the nuggets out of posted novels. If you can't do it, there is a fair chance (backed up in this thread) that nobody can.

The OP seems to understand English, word-wise, just doesn't seem to be able to grasp the nuances (grammar, context, eg) of stringing sentences.

It means nothing really.  Those bidders tried to get an item cheap and it went past their highest bid.  Then they bid on the other exact same item and it went over their maximum again.

If it was shill bidding, then what the hey.  I don't agree with it but if ebay allowed a reserve price then that wouldn't happen.

If eBay allowed a reserve, etc.....

Why? eBay auctions aren't auctions, they are tenders.

All looks fine to me. I don't see anything wrong here.

However you may want to wind back the ole English and metaphors I understand what you are saying but most people won't although I do agree with you, there is no reason for people to be rude to you because you are being unique and having your own opinion.

But there is really nothing odd about the bidding behaviour on these items, it all seems legit. However if you are convinced of shrill bidding by all means, report the items so Ebay can complete an investigation, however you may not get the outcome you desire.

UUURRRGGG..... The auctions are meant to be fool proof, how can a group of folks just flip about to bids, leave a pile, bump up the price and then shoot off ???? Sure this ones chump change ... But they're the same guys!!.
I've no faith in bids here when holes are discovered.
And yeah you can't talk to me like that, but I apologize, for not thinking of posting direct.
(I had to tell you guys about this.....!)

It's taken you 9 months to come back and have your say???

Were you and I bidding on the same items tonight? I bid on a few. Some I won, others I put in my maximum and was outbid. I didn't want to pay more than that, so I let the highest bidder have them. Other times, if I will be at work when an auction is finished, I will put my maximum bid on before I leave and hope for the best. Sometimes it means a big jump in the price because the current high bidder has a high bid in too. One time the bidding went from $2.98 straight up to $45 when I submitted my maximum bid.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by auctions being fool proof. If you mean any fool can use them, then you got that right. Just because someone bids on a single sellers items, doesn't mean there is anything untoward going on. One of the sellers I buy from, they mostly have buy it now, but every week or so, they will run around 10 auctions. Most of the time, I will win 8 or 9 of those auctions....week in, week out.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by holes in bidding. Can you post an example?

A lack of understanding of the workings of ebay appears to prevail.

It is a bit difficult when the original listings in question have disappeared but if we could not see anything wrong then I don't think we will see anything wrong after all this time.

Even rereading the thread after all this time I have no idea what it is all about.
