ALERT same bidders ALERT same bids BID RIGGING!

My eyes do not deceive me, these two items from the same seller have bidders that place the same bids on 2 exactly same items and WONT FINISH TRANSACTION, then another swoops in raising the bid- on BOTH items.

In the space of 1 week I've seen this taking place - what does eBay think of it....they would know surely, proof of it or not, both items have the same bidders doing a tango worth remembering, kick start the bidding war with high ranking friend's then let the buyer replace bids until the items value is unrealistic with a ring in bidder. This pattern I'll remember.

Not standard practice I'm sure, has it happened to you?

**bleep**.

Who said just 1-2, anyone ELSE who critisises the appeal to stamp out crime cannot be sane.

Just keep on about' hear no see no evil ' it is not helpful.

I'm out ta here!

Re: ALERT same bidders ALERT same bids BID RIGGING!

Hi oplential

A few times I have been bidding on items as you describe where two or even more bidders have been vigorously bidding on an item early in the listing and it is usually because 1 bidder had placed an automatic bid on the item .

Generally after a time others stop bidding and the bidding remains the same sometimes for days.

Then near the end of the auction the other bidders may come back and try again.

I have done this myself and I know it is very frustrating because sometimes however hard you try you just cannot win an item

You know that some auctions may start at 99 cents but if someone really wants to win this they can place an automatic bid of hundreds even thousands of dollars on it and there is also an app available that will override all bids in the laat few seconds of the auction

What you are experiencing is not likely shill bidding

I am a seller and I have seen frequently what you have described happening to my listings and I can assure you that I have never manipulated my auctions in any way

Auctions really are the luck of the draw.

I am sorry that you are frustrated here I have just had a look at your feed back that you have left your sellers .

and you leave sweet and lovely feedback that is very easy to understand

I hope I have helped you in some way
