Hey all
I am looking at an item that is being advertised as a buy it now and it has free postage.
But when i go to buy the product it comes up with postage.
I contacted the seller and they keep telling me its an ebay glitch. Is this right.
And can they advertise no postage and then charge postage. I would think its false advertising.
Thanks

Have you looked at postage costs in the body of the listing???

Just had a look & it states postage as $15.08 in the listing!

Might depend on browser's/buyer's location - for me it says $11.84

The seller is not advertising the item as Free Postage, that is an eBay glitch.
It looks like the seller is using the Postage Rates table and there are known problems with it showing as Free Post in search results. The shipping cost does not show until you actually click on the listing.

Are you viewing the item for sale on a mobile/tablet/ipad or a computer?

This is obviously click bait for eBay and totally against Australian law. They need to be reported. Consumer affairs here I come. I doubt it's a glitch more to the point it's a tactic.
