No, I have no intention buying from that seller, and definitely not interested in $100 second hand shoes.  🙂   Just wondered if they actually look green on other people's screen.

They actually look almost black on my screen anyway lol

If they think they are buying green, they get blue - big deal!

It is a big deal with different colours being rarer than others thus affecting the price someone will pay for them.

Seller is not a magician, nor he can controll the hues on different monitors.

Obviously if listing says item is beige and you receive purple, that is a definite colour difference, but shading isn't - even officially, according to Ebay as well as PP.

But I was really more specific, only talking about Dr. Martens boots (any  of them, from any seller) - saying that I couldn't imagine anyone on the planet whinging about the colour, blue, green, purple whatever - as the clashing colours is the whole point of wearing them, appart from durability.

Most buyers like to receive the product they have purchased and if the colour of those boots is listed as Army Green then that is what they should receive.

I find your posts on this thread verging on advising sellers that description and photos don't matter and send the buyer anything because you think no one on the planet will whinge.

I don't think describing buyers as whinging because they don't get what they paid for is helpful advice to anyone.

Did I say that  - that descriptions in the listings don't matter?

Bump, I didn't advise anyone what to do with the listings and descriptions - just merelly pointed out that it matters not what colour these types of boots really are, that no one would complain, and if they did they would be a natural born whinger. I work in fashon styling (day job) and can guarantee you that no one on the planet would complain about slightly fifferent shading - those who buy and wear this type of footwear. That's appart from technical shorfalls in home photography.

Also, no amount of coplaining would do one any good in the case of different shading as some shades are not represented accuratelly with home cameras, also on different monitors - and both Ebay as well as PP have made allowances for that.

Receiving a totally different colour is another matter.

But of course, your interpretation of what I said is yours and you are totally entitled to it.

And me - also entitled to my opinion, but never giving anyone advice on what to do, what is OK and what isn't - that is why I am not on the boards as one of the regular advice givers.
