Another stupid idea?

That stupid bell now has 3 "messages" in it and none of them relate to anything that I've "done" on eBay.

The "messages" are for laptops which when clicked on goes to their favourite error page that seem to come

up on a regular basis now,(We looked everywhere.Looks like this page is missing. If you still need help, visit

our help pages).

So do they want you to look at times that you have no interest in or even searched for or is it part of their

continuing failure to provide a stable platform?

my stupid bell is telling me that I need to post 74 items....I WISH!!

I have found the less I hover over it or select anything in it, the less it pops up.

So I totally ignore it and usually don't even notice if it pops up with something.

Wow!,that would be good if it was true,(I'll take one sale),

I just find it incredible that they must have had some "top" end IT "specialists" years ago and that they have

obviously sacked them all and now employ monkeys only,(must be another cost saving exercise),

I don't even look at it.

Or the cart, which still has the last 2 items I bought (last month) showing.

My 'All Selling' page has any info I need sitting at the top so the bell is just another extraneous, unimportant item padding out an otherwise emptyish line.

I was thinking of putting a clip above the screen and then put a bit of paper there to hide the stupid thing,(as

well as the cart when it make out there is something in when you know there is not).

Now have the clip set up for the next it "lies" to me,

I normally ignore it but when either has numbers on them I know that somewhere along the line I'll need to

double check it to see if it's right,(something that you do when you start getting older apparently),

I've ignored it for so long I never even notice whether there are numbers beside it now. I remember when it was first introduced it was quickly established that it couldn't be relied on anyway.
