Any one having issues paying for an item?

Hi all,

Sunday night i tried to purchase ink cartridges from one seller, I hit buy it now. then i had an error appear saying this seller is unable to recieve payments at the moment

So i went to next seller i was interested in and selected 2 items, then went to checkout and hit paynow, then same error come up saying i was unable to pay them and to contact seller, I went out of checkout but it was too late it said i had purchased items and needed to pay asap.

I have now contacted person twice, and ive spoke Live to ebay support, they too said to contact the seller and get a manual paypal invoice,,

but i have yet to have heard back from seller

Has anyone else had this happen recently I saw someone say they couldnt recieve money and other saying same as me.

Does anyone know what i should do next?

Is this an ebay glitch that tech obviously doesnt know about?

Its a big coincedence that two seperate sellers have same issues,,, am i able to cancel my order?

Anything help would be appreciated on this matter thanks 🙂

Hi,

I've had an issue all day where I get a "page not responding" error when I go to checkout.   Customer service told me they are working on it but apart from suggesting getting the seller to issue a manual invoice, they weren't very helpful at all and could offer no time frame for resolution of the problem.

I noticed this issue had been listed on the announcement board on 29 October and they said it had been fixed, but obviously not.

That means this issue has existed for at least the best part of a week!

It's pretty poor when you can't even buy an item on eBay.   Very frustrating!

...is it possible the sellers accounts may have been frozen by Paypal ?

Im not sure what happens to a seller's paypal account when they receive many INR claims for example....

Could it be something like that??

Jane, a dispute only freezes the amount in dispute....and it does not affect the receiving of money.

hi , yeah tried that heaps of times and it wouldnt allow me to have the details

wrote to ebay heaps of times back n forth, none of them seemed to get my issue, they kept giving me instructions on how to contact seller,,, duh i cant.....

then i would say can u send me his email address,,, they go sorry we cant due to privacy but if u click here u can request it and we will send u his email address.

im like duh same thing so u should just be able to give it to me OMG

in the end i got a nice guy on online chat who showed me how to get the correct phone number regarding contact details,,, rang them,, they again tried to walk me thru to request contact details,,, still no luck she was confused so said she would contact him herself, then send both of us contact details

mind u i still dont have his email address just a phone number and not even a real name grrrrr

still **bleep** we cant have their email addresses like we used to be able to have 

ive txted him but no response as yet, hopefully he reads his emails from ebay and contacts me

I have been trying to pay for an item since 1pm today (about 7 or 8 tries).

All I get is the screen as below.

The connection has timed out

The server at checkout.payments.ebay.com.au is taking too long to respond.

    The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
    If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
    If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Hopeless Ebay!

p.s.  This is the 3rd time I have tried to post this message.  I click on "Post" and it just hangs until this page times out as well...

There are a number of threads on the boards at the moment about ebay issues.

All you can do is wait it out till they are fixed.

Can't say I have had any problems so far today but time will tell as I have just won an auction and am about to BIN 2 items.

 I have had problems with eBay on & off all day.

I wasn't able to watch the end of an auction today that I had a bid on because I couldn't get into eBay .

 Then after it I got notification I won the bid then it took me a little while to get in to pay for it, then this afternoon I was trying to leave feedback I got half way through it and eBay just melted down and I couldn't do anything again.

Then I got into the eBay discussios and found I couldn't post a message.

eBay has been driving me up one wall and down another since last Friday. I am and with eBay.

Doo e careful wit that time out message, sometimes it comes up even though the payment has gone through and then when you check in Paypal you have paid several times for the same item. This is not the same problem the OP is having sp you should log into Payal and make sure none of the payments have gone through before trying again. If I get the time out message I wait about an hour then check Paypal and only if it is not showing there do I try again.

Yes I tried paying but won't let me choose payment option absolutely useless
