Asked to Change Feedback

I have left negative or neutral feedback when I felt the need. Often the sellers will contact me and ask me to change it. Even offering to give me back my money if I do.

I leave feedback because I feel others need to be aware of what to expect from this seller.
I had one seller contact me every couple of days, sent me 10 emails asking me to change it. I had to report him in the end.

Please don't change feedback if that is what they deserve. It is to safe guard people like me.
I just got ripped off $17 by one seller who sold me faulty goods which I am sure is a common practice for her as she knew how to go about getting paypal to rule in her favour. Left me bewildered as to how this happened, never going to buy from China again.  This seller has brought shame to her country.

Frankly the feedback you leave is mostly uncalled for, you will be featured on several lists by now

If the seller tries to resolve the problem by refunding you,

Then why would you not change the feedback ?

Feedback is there to stop people ripping other people off,

Only an honest seller would offer you money back.

You sound like a person who is negative/neutral feedback happy.

If they ae trying to resolve then stop being harsh.

Thankfully there is such a thing as a blocked buyer list

Do you not realise every negative and neutral can impact someones livelihood?  Ebay can and will limit a seller based on star ratings and feedback.  It doesn't even have to be that bad - plenty of people get limits placed even when their percentage is above 99%.

If you have not lost any money or if you are prepared to keep an item along with a partial refund I can't see why you would do that to a persons business.  Negatives should only be for scammers who deliberately try to rip you off, not for misunderstandings or accidents-not when the seller has done all they can to rectify it.

I hate buyers like you - completely unreasonable and uncooperative even when a full refund is offered without shipping it back.

I think some of the replies from others in this thread have been a little harsh.

I agree that honest feedback helps a buyer.

I went in to have a look at what feedback you had given and on the whole, it was positive.

Where it was neutral and you put in a comment such as the colour was different, eg more beige than white, that is the sort of info I would like to know.

The only thing I think I would do if I were you is contact sellers before giving any feedback and if someone did give me a full refund, I would never give them a negative as they have done all they can to fix the problem.

I would also never give a neutral for slow post, if the seller could show it was posted off in reasonable time. Once it is in the postal system, it is out of their hands. I guess that is how I do my feedback though and everyone is different.

I checked this buyers feedback left.

And if this buyer is not contacting 1st and giving the sellers a chance to rectify problems, then the neutrals and negatives are a disgrace. Some people just dont care how much they hurt sellers by doing this.

EG :Neutral for lost item in post,Seller gives refund.(Not sellers fault it gets lost in post) WHY NEUTRAL ?

I also had a look at the feedback you have left and I don't see a problem.  You have given negative in situations where I might have given a neutral but that is your call.  There is a perception that if there is a return option then you should change feedback.  The thing is: 1.  You are still out of pocket because of postage (often 2 ways for the outgoing and return) and 2.  It is a major inconvenience.  It is encumbant on sellers to list their item accurately and if they don't do that they are going to pick up some negative feedback.

I buy a lot of tin badges.  A number of sellers call every badge RARE (even the most common ones) and go on the say "item description is the picture".  On a 2D photo there is no way to tell if the badge is dented or depressed and unless the back is shown... wether it has its original pin.  Why not just put in a written description instead of making buyers ask questions every time?  It is poor risky practice (IMO) and will inevitably attract dispute and resulting negative feedback.  I was an ebay seller for many years and never had one negative.  My descriptions were always detailed and accurate.  Only once did I refund and i sent a replacement and a full refund (it was my packing error).
