This is one for sellers as well, but I have put this here as it happened to me as a buyer.
I have just had two parcels delivered to my house. The delivery driver also left a card for a third parcel to collect from the Post Office.
As this has happened a few times over the last few weeks, I contacted Australia Post.
I was told that I would have to go to the post office to collect the parcel. (You don't say, thank you for pointing that out)
I said to the AP representative that I would not be able to get to the post office to collect the item, and reminded him that it was their contractual obligation to deliver it to me.
He responded that no contract existed as no one had signed anything. (Which mistake are we up to now?), I did give him the short and sweet explanation of the contract.
He then went on to tell me - and now this is the really good bit.... that he would have the parcel "Returned To Sender" so that the eBay seller could send the parcel to me again (at their expense BTW) and it could be delivered to my door "next time".
I said to him that "you do realize that you have just asked me to screw an eBay Seller because you have failed to meet your contractual obligations?"
His response was "that is the only way to get the item delivered to your door."
It gets better.
He then went on to tell me again, that there was NO contract with Aus Post for the delivery of the parcel as no one had signed any contract.
I wonder how many eBay sellers this has happened to.

is that for me?
the postie delivered under 500g
a man in a van delivered a big box, a 3kg satchel and the card.

Digi, I've been thinking, I doubt the seller would have spent more than necessary on postage for my craded purchase.
It was a $16 free post pedicure stone. Best Offer bought it down to $12.
Can't see he'd have too much room for movement

But folks! Forget about my parcel!
That's insignificant!
Isn't anyone a bit cross at what the AP rep suggested I do to "solve my problem"?

I think they are trained to just keep talking while you are still on the line.
Unofficially, I have been told that if you call them, they cannot hang up unless the "client" (that would be you here) uses profanity.

Yeah, I just thought having a delivery guy with two parcels and a card rather than three parcels was a bit odd, so I was curious about what could have prompted that decision to be made...
Also, sadly, the fact that it was carded with two deliveries surprised me, wheras the AP rep's response didn't.
