Avoid postage cost

There is no PayPal buyer protection for pickup items.

If you want to pay by PayPal and the item was listed with a postage cost then the seller can send you a revised invoice with zero postage.

If they listed the item as "free" postage then they can send you an invoice without postage directly from PayPal to your email address.

If it was me I would inspect the item on pickup to ensure it is working properly and then pay the seller in cash.
