so, if a bidder puts their high bid on the original listing page and then clicks one-click-bid they need to re-enter their bid amount on the one-click pop-up box or else it will only bid to the next increment?
Perhaps in the rush of bidding in the last 25 seconds of an auction this is what has happened to the OP.
I will put this to the test on an item I am bidding on that ends just before 9pm tonight. 5 stars to anyone who can search eBay and find out what item I will be bidding on.

Okay, here's what I found. The item I was bidding on was at $24.50 (almost identical to the OP's item), I put $150.05 in to the bid box and clicked one-click bid and then took a screen shot of the pop up that appeared on my screen. Here it is:
So it seems that this is a clumsy way to bid in the last minute of an auction as it would be very easy to put a high figure in the bid box and then click one-click bid and then, when the pop up appears, hit the "1 Click Bid" blue button without even looking at the amount bid.
That's exactly what I think has happened.
You need to select one-click bid first, then enter 150 in the one-click box over the top of the default one increment bid.
The OP prob put 2-3 incremental bids thinking their max wasn't registering.
You are a young Sherlock in the making. 
I was looking too, but going by the times in the listing and post, I thinks it's ended.
Then again sir sales did say before 9pm.
