Bidding

Hi everyone, not new but confused???  When bidding (until last week) I could watch the 'timeout' on the screen and place a bid as the item was closing.  Now it does not work as clock is fixed, I can refresh and get time update but thats not really any good is it?  I have asked ebay and they gave me info on clearing caches; which I do anyway, but I did as asked but nothing has changed, any help from someone with more "puter" knowledge than me.  I also notice that if I pick an item from a page the page reverts to the top when I go back, most frustrating!!!!

anyway keep up the good work all of you ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Private Lyndal whoops! ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes I am or was logged in; if not I would not be able to bid, I can bid no problem I just do not know what time is left on an item.

I have made further investigations and found through help from ebay that my 'browser' maybe be out of date????  well its version 8 not 10 but it is fully up to date according to Microsoft.  I am bemused; but then at my age I am often bemused ๐Ÿ™‚  I dont bid much and I dont really mind its just that I cannot for the life of me see why it should happen I run a full security suite, it says I have no viruses etc and I can get "active" graphics on other sites so I suspect it is ebay but then I was always looking for others mistakes!!!!

I can bid through my Ipad so I expect I will survivie or even better survive ๐Ÿ™‚ just wondered if anyone else had had this issue.

I get the same problem every now and then.  I use explorer, and find sometimes I need to log out of eBay, restart my computer and login in again.  It normally works

I just had a look and the countdown clock is working fine on all my browsers. Make sure you're watching when there's only 60 mins left to bid. The countdown clock won't appear before then.

If your browsers don't sort itself out, try the ebay phone app which also has the countdown clock in the meantime for your biddings.

Re: Bidding

When this happens and it does on occasions, click on the bid history (number of bids placed) and back again, it often kick starts the count down again.

Thanks everyone.  I will try again but I have done those things it doesnt seem to make a difference.

Not sure about the quote from Judge Judy; but then I prefer to rely on real people not TV.  I could explain the workings of a refrigerator or a weapons system to others and they would not understand so not make sense therefore its not true?????

Well anyway lifes too short for small people or does that mean too long for tall people???

Have to agree, that quote is stupid, and somewhat frightening.
