Opened up an account to purchase little things here and there and have been blocked from buying items outright except for my very first item but am allowed to bid on auctions.
I have found items that I wanted to BIN but am not able too.
Ebay are saying that it's because of a safety reason blah blah.
I said hey ebay but I have other accounts and you know that this account is also now mine so what gives?
Apparently nothing gives as I'm still blocked from BIN.
If this is the way new buyers will be treated then it's a joke or maybe it's just me myself and I?
How ridicuously stupendis!

Do you have more than 8 accounts?
You are allowed to link 8 ebay accounts to one paypal account so I can't imagine there would be any problem with at least 8 accounts or it would not be allowed.

Thanks for your post harley and it could well be what's happening,I'd just wish ebay could explain what the problem is as I had lots of items in my watch list and just as I went to buy them bam another block.
I'm not a newbie here on ebay I just have a new account and ebay know that.

7 accounts and 1 account is over 12 years old.
I have different accounts for different things so I just opened an account for a particular item/s I wish to purchase and all above board and most are BIN so beats me why I can't do so.

If those items are can't live without gotta haves, why not just use one of your other accounts until this new one is sorted? Are the items expensive? If they are expensive they may have flagged you for some reason. For the same reasons that scammers with 0 feedback will buy phones and other electronics then ask to have them posted to Nigeria for a cousin.
When has anyone ever got any sense out of eBay? Did you really think you'd get any sense out of the robots? "Does not compute. Does not compute"

The only thing I can suggest in the meantime until ebay get back to you LOL (if ever) is to contact the sellers if you can and just tell them you want to purchase x and y and see if they offer an alternative.

Who would give you a kudos for your post when it's not the correct reason?
Crow, Members here give kudo for many reasons such as acknowledgement it's been read or often used as a like button rather than a kudos for the content given. I also use kudos as thanks.
Those reasons eliviates the need to post unnecessary replies and keeps the threads shorter.
I gave the poster a like on this occasion because of the limited information given in the OP, it was a very good "starting point guess" to think of that as a possibility. Should I retract it?

No need to explain to me how kudos work kopes I have been around long enough to know.
Yes retract it and give it to harley.
Limited information given in the OP?
Why would a poster even ask have I been verified?
Do you think I don't know what I'm doing kopes?
Maybe if I had a feedback score of 1 then I wouldn't know what I was doing.
Mate I gave all I had to give and some posters tried to put the blame on me as if I had done something wrong.
I said in the OP what has happened and what is happening.
There are no violations and all is verified so it can't be that then and ebay haven't answered either so I thought some posters might have known some other reasons.
So far harley could be correct in what has happened but until I find out from the horses mouth then who knows-(not me)?

Ebay has advised me why I was blocked and it's a silly reason, I should have guessed why I was blocked and because I'm posting this to lyndal perhaps everyone will know the reason?
Might even give you a lollipop if you guess it haha.

You have a couple of accounts you have forgotten about.....or are no longer using....but they are still connected to your paypal account?
