Blocked from BIN listings

Opened up an account to purchase little things here and there and have been blocked from buying items outright except for my very first item but am allowed to bid on auctions.

I have found items that I wanted to BIN but am not able too.

Ebay are saying that it's because of a safety reason blah blah.

I said hey ebay but I have other accounts and you know that this account is also now mine so what gives?

Apparently nothing gives as I'm still blocked from BIN.

If this is the way new buyers will be treated then it's a joke or maybe it's just me myself and I?

Not the reason but why would I post to you lyndal?

What does your account and my account that was blocked have in common?

But now your account and my account are opposite?

Now remember this was a safety reason why I was blocked which by the way makes sense but it doesn't as ebay knew it was my account.

Crow, sometimes members will respond with the understanding that many other members are reading this and hoping to learn from the complete thread.  So the answer isn't necessarily personally directed to your actions, but to all members who might be experiencing similar issues.  I find that approach helpful.  It's  not "personal" , it's just making sure all bases are covered for anyone reading this.

I often read a thread through and take note of specific answers and an obvious answer to the OP can be new information for me or a new member.

An analogy would be "my computer is not working, can anyone help?"  Now if someone answered with "do you have it plugged in?" I wouldn't be insulted because for others reading this ........ that might actually solve the problem.

Why would a poster even ask have I been verified?

They weren't asking if you have been verified but perhaps the new account hasn't been phone verified, how on earth is the poster supposed to know that.

Seeing as that ID (poster) is new, it is sometimes good to give encouragement when due.

Ok lyndal no riddles,the reason was because I had the account as Private which is what you have,but I have now changed it back to Public.

Simply a stupid reason to block my account when it was all verified.

But kopes mate this poster knows everything so she or he should realize that I'm not some newbie that hasn't been phone verified or for that matter any other kind of verified.

And mate if the rest of the thread is so hard for you too understand that it's just about having some fun with a guessing game then don't participate simple.

So you were blocked because your account was on private feedback? How the heck does that work, where does a seller put that block in place?

That has to be the silliest reason I have ever heard.

Is it because it is a new account?

I must admit I did not make my feedback private until I had hundreds of feedback but I never had a problem.

Also no problem with my other account which has been unused for years now.....I did not even have to verify it....just linked it to my paypal and off I went.

Seller didn't do it ebay blocked my account because I put it as private,that's the reason they gave me.

And now as soon as I changed it back I am able to buy again.

Ebay must have thought the account was going to scam sellers,but ebay knew it was my account.

I said to ebay well then why was I allowed to bid on auctions you know I could have just not paid when I won and that's when they said well then you get a strike lol.

I said but you knew it was my account,it was all verified so there shouldn't have been this problem in the first place,then it was the usual yada yada blah blah.

Silly definately and it's why I was able to purchase 1 item at the start when feedback wasn't private.
