Bought a $7650USD Item for $10455AUD due to the exchange rate when the actual going rate is $10007AUD. The seller said sold the item privately on the weekend yet I already paid for it with Credit/Debit card (must of gone through there for some wack reason not paypal). Will I get my full refund back if anything due to it not being paypal? Should I be worried its a scam. What are my options.
Thanks

What has the seller said about a refund?
Sounds like you may have to explore charge back options with your cc provider.
Others will be along with more information.
Please provide an item #.

No responce from the seller after he said he sold the item. He did mention he had a lower quality one but I declined.
Thanks

That number is not showing on ebay.....are you sure it is correct?
Was it a Visa Debit card or Mastercard?

Was it a card thing from Japan, if so the sale may have allready been cancelled, as not visible as recent sale
Also your price probably included foriegn transaction fees on top of the exchange rate

(eBay search useless, came up in google search, though)
It looks like they have sold cards in the past but never for this kind of money - that listing also has no description? It just says "aaaa" while the other sold ones have a proper listing template (though description is still pretty sparse). The price being asked by other sellers is significantly higher, as well (though I have no idea what makes one worth AUD $10k and another worth AUD$60k ).
A scammer usually won't tell you immediately that they won't be sending the card, as they want you to be blissfully ignorant for as long as possible, however a decent seller should also refund immediately - there may be clearance issues (funds pending), especially due to the amount, but they also should be communicating with you. In any case, you should have options via eBay or your card provider if the seller doesn't refund.

Yeah Digi, that was the one I came up with, but it does not appear in sellers recently sold items.
Didn't look at any similar items!! Gee I thought $10k was over the odds
