Buyer Location

Is there anyway to find a buyers location after Ebays latest effort to anonymously hid every detail?.I'm thinking of buying an item 2nd hand from the US of A.They state they ship to Australia but seeing it is $800 I'd like to see if any of their passed buyers were from Australia.Can live with the buyers ID being hidden but hiding their location seems over the top and all kind of fishy....Thanks...

Probably not unless there is some way of determining in which currency their previous buyers might have paid, but in their current listing, does the postage section make any reference to any import duties and taxes being included (even if they won't be applicable by virtue of the item costing less than A$1,000)? If so, that means they're shipping via the GPS and if they state they're shipping to Australia, you can pretty well take that as being read.

I applaud your diligence in trying to determine the validity of their listing before laying out your hard-earned, but you can certainly limit your exposure quite dramatically by paying through Paypal (and funding your payment with a credit card for added security) as well as emailing the seller and asking them the same question you've asked here, albeit somewhat more tactfully.
