Define vintage.
I've got clothes worn to death that even I won't wear any more. Do they qualify?

Had a look at some of your listings, Jess
I think there's a problem when the listing heading says -
Bulk lot Colette gold diamond rings
when clearly they are neither gold nor diamonds and have a BIN price of $26
Most buyers only read the heading - they don't bother with what's
further down IMO
Just sayin.

Not so bad Stawka. It's listed in the fashion jewellery category, not fine jewellery. I find it a lot worse when costume jewellery is listed as fine.

OMG....20 years old is only "old" to my way of thinking. True "vintage" should be nearer 50 years old unless you are using it as a generic term such as "vintage 70s" or "vintage 80s".
I have a cupboard full of vintage clothing that no longer fits or is suitable.

anything pre 1920's is antique.
Anything from 1920- to 20yrs prior to the present day, is considered vintage.
So anything from 1995 and earlier is technically classed as vintage clothing.
even writing that, makes me feel OLD ๐

Hi Jessica, I,m not really a vintage clothes expert, but I do find a few nice things in my travels occasionally. My best find was a garage sale down a little back street. It was in the small brick garage attached to a little unit. It didn't look very special from the road, but once in the garage it was a real eye popper. The elderly lady who owned the unit was one of the main fashion buyers for David Jones in the 1960,s and early 70,s.. She used to travel overseas and received plenty of "free gifts" from some of the most exclusive names in women's fashion at the time. The little garage was chockas with 1960,s acrylic minis, beautiful furs, knee high leather lace up boots and brightly coloured paisley print Kaftan dresses. It was all kept in near new condition and priced at just a few dollars per item as the lady was going into a home and had to clear it all out.
Needless to say I filled the car up to the roof, drove home and came back again for another load. ( it was getting a bit picked over by then though. ) I sold the whole lot to a high profile vintage clothes boutique in a trendy part of the city. The best part was it kept the bills paid for a few weeks and was a bit of fun..
