Can a case be re open once it has been closed.

The Seller want to close a case.

I have contacted the seller to say that one item is missing from a item I have purchased. It does not say that this item is in the description, but in a email they say they have included this item in the package. Upon receiving the package the item was missing. They said they will send it. They are requesting that the case be closed as they are sending the missing item. As Im new to Ebay I would like to know that if I close the case and the missing item is never received because perhaps they havent sent it. Can the case be re opened.

regards

Jean

No I do not think so. I would wait until everything is sorted out before closing the case.

I think you might have problems, nevertheless. If the missing item was not part of the listing, then you won't be able to prove to Paypal's satisfaction that the item is not as described. Because it is. Non-isted extras don't count.

I have to agree with Davewill. Any extras are not part of the Paypal transaction and depending on the seller's response to the dispute you can just wait for Paypal to make their decision as to who wins but at best if they find in your favour you are going to have to return what you did receive by fully trackable post.

In answer to your question no you cannot usually re open a case once it has been closed.
