Combined Postage

Paying for a friend's purchases using Paypal I requested that the items from one seller be combined on one invoice  using the 'combined postage' option and ebay has refused to send it in case it is a request to make a deal outside of ebay. It went without problem when I used the change order option but why have combined postage if you cant use it?

You are correct when you say ebay are paranoid about "off ebay transactions".  I had a listing removed, and received yet another policy violation, because I had the words "contact me" in one of my listings (ebay claimed I was encouraging off ebay purchases) - now I have in nice bright red lettering at the end of some my listings to contact me through ebay]:)
