A few weeks ago I lodged a written complaint to the ACCC regarding eBay's and a Melbourne.
I haven't heard back from the ACCC as yet.
My complaint is regarding the selling practices of Sparesbox and eBay's apparent disregard to their sellers listing procedures.
In the past I have had three failed purchases.
It's all boils down to misleading and deceptive listings.
When I purchased my items from the listing stated that there were a certain number of items available (i.e. in stock). What REMOVED have been obviously doing is when the item is purchased and paid for on eBay is then ordering the item and them on-selling the item to an eBay customer. This of course involves an extended waiting period to receive the item if the purchaser receives it at all. I some cases some weeks later you receive a refund without explanation. Often you have to chase up several times for the refund.
This procedure puts REMOVED at a huge advantage over more genuine honest sellers who have the items in stock ready to dispatch.
eBay seem to be more interested in generating commisdions on sales rather than having satisfied purchasers.

You're not allowed to name sellers on the boards.
That store has a rating of 97.8%, which is not a great. What due diligence did you do as a buyer? Did you bother to check their feedback, which has 360 negs in the last month alone and almost 2000 for the last 12 months?
Why did you use them a second and third time after you had the first bad event?
The ACCC will do nothing because there is nothing for them to do. If you or the ACCC wanted the sellers details, you would need to get a legal letter drawn up and submit to Ebays legal team. When you sign Ebay's T&C's, you agree that any dispute will be between you and the seller only, so it is you who would have to bear any legal costs with getting the information. The ACCC certainly wouldn't get involved in such a minor non-issue.
However, since you were refunded, there was no loss to you, only an inconvenience. Not sure why you had to chase up the seller anyway - just open a INR when allowed and get your money back. You don't even need to contact the seller in a message.
Ebay has these processes in place so you are protected as a buyer. Why you continued to use that seller is beyond me and it's buyers like you who keep sellers like that in business! And anyway, Ebay loses the commission when you are refunded by the seller, so it is actually a financial deficit to them.

1. Naming and shaming is not permitted on the forums.
2. The seller you have named, is a chinese seller, who has been inactive for at least 12 months
3. The ACCC has no authority in china
4 You have purchased from a seller with similar ID and based in Melbourne (1.2M sales 97.8% + and approx 600000 current listings) And you have left glowing + FB. 3 times in the last 12 months
5. You claim to have had several negative transactions, but have not left a single - FB
6. The fact you consider something obvious, does not make it so, and does not mean it breaks Australian consumer laws.
7 You have been trying to sell a couple of car parts for approx 8 months, without a sale, I wonder what I can conclude from that

Hi Jelly 1.2 Million sales and 600000 current listings, The seller must be doing something right.
Yes + FB is only 97.8% but considering the massive disruptions to automotive parts manufacture and distribution over the last 2yrs, it could be a lot worse.

@gutterpunkz
You're right - whilst the feedback is not as high as we would like from a high volume seller, it's certainly within Ebay's parameters.
I can see why customers would be disappointed though if they are not getting their parts after ordering in good faith, especially if the seller has indicated that there is stock on hand. I'm not sure why the OP thinks that this puts the seller at an advantage (as per post 1), as they are having to continually refund and risk negative feedback.

i think REMOVED is part of the V8 Super Car mob, i've seen something about them some time back i think they are owned by GPC - Genuine Parts Company who also own Napa & Repco
