Received an item incorrectly addressed for another eBay member/buyer.
Am unable to find a way to contact eBay with a general enquiry.
It is like if it does not fit a prescribed box your screwed.
Anyway enough **bleep**ing, does anyone know how to contact ebay with general enquiries.

No, have no outstanding orders.
Yes the heading appears confusing but in part that is due to the fact I have an item due for someone else with no suppliers details and no way of contacting eBay outside their stand channels, ie my issue does not fit 1 of eBay boxes.

I would like to know more on how to contact an agent as to date I have not been able to find 1.
The envelope,
- received was addressed to someone not at my address.
- had an eBay heading and ref number.
- the item arrived out of the blue and I had no outstanding orders.

I can only assume the addressee is an eBay member by the fact the envelope had eBay heading and ref number on it.
Ebay are the source of truth as they are the centre of transactions, ie they record the seller, buyer, goods, mode of freight, etc.
Personally do not open items addressed to others but the item is in an A4 size envelope.

If you really want to chat with ebay, simply start a chat by asking for help with any recent sale/purchase, then when asked to briefly describe problem let them know there is no problem with the transaction but you used it to get through to them, then explain your problem. I'd be inclined to have that already typed up and ready to copy and paste into the chat. Also have a photo of item handy in case they would find that of help.

Well, just open it. There might be a packing slip inside with all the information you need.
I know that I always send paperwork with my orders.

I don't. I believe trees deserve to live.

Yes, I always receive a slip in with anything I purchase these days, even small things that come in envelopes.
I'd be opening the envelope and if there is such a slip inside, just contacting the seller direct and letting them know what happened.
I could be wrong but I don't like the chances of an ebay rep being much help if the person phoning in can't tell them the name of the seller or ebay name of the buyer or even their address. My purchases always come addressed to me by name and my name is not springyzone.
Maybe the ebay reference number might help, I don't know.

There is a way you can have eBay call you
At the top of your eBay page click on Help , type in Getting Paid , you will have options appear Click on Getting Paid Overview, when this opens Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and Click on HAVE US CALL YOU

Like as you say, all my purchases come addressed to me including correct name.
I would have thought an eBay rep chat portal would be the ideal help as like for a seller, an eBay reference number would allow the rep to check buyer and seller.
Do not like opening other mail so this could end up in trash.
