I had an item sent from the USA, the seller used to use carrier "DHL" and I got package's fine, just recently they changed to "USPS', and an item I bought from them is in Australia and hasn't moved for 11 days, it hasn't been through customs yet either.
When I queried the seller about something they said that the order was sent via DHL and not USPS, I got tracking link fine from "DHL "which is accurate.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem, I'm worried I wont get the item.
(Seller is on Ebay but I bought from their online shop direct)
Aus Post tracking is showing as item still in transit and not in country yet.
I know there are hold ups for international mail at present at present, I read "USPS" isn't sending mail from USA to Aus.

With nuts and seeds included, customs might be having a close look at the package Michelle.

There are massive holdups in the system Michelle, the seller has rightly sent by DHL because USPS is not sending to Oz at this point. Just wait a while but keep an eye on the final ETA of the parcel.

Definitely big hold ups in the system on either end - I had 2 international packages which sat at Perth airport awaiting departure for 10 days. One buyer was getting a bit antsy, but then they suddenly started moving again and have been delivered. There's just a huge backlog, not enough flights and they're probably understaffed as well, depending on which state the parcel transits through.

I expect the parcel will turn up eventually because I also am in the middle of AP's long delays in processing parcels however, you should be able to contact DHL and ask them to look into it.
Some years ago I had a parcel from the US that had arrived in Australia via DHL but somewhere Aust Post seemed to have 'mislaid' it (or rather didn't update the tracking).
Because I hadn't taken possession of the item AP wouldn't help me - as 'technically' it wasn't mine yet (would you believe). The US seller wasn't interested in making enquiries. In desperation I contacted DHL on their website. The DHL guy online agreed to look into it on my behalf and contact Aust Post. The AP tracking was never updated but the parcel mysteriously arrived at my house two days later.

What does the last tracking update say?
I was a bit worried about a parcel too this morning because it had bounced from Sydney to NSW Outlying Areas, then back to Sydney, then back to NSW Outlying Areas again, but it has just arrived. It was sent with the GSP, but DHL handled it once in Australia.
I, too, think that you will eventually get your parcel. If you are worried though you can contact DHL. Is there no estimated delivery date on the DHL tracking site? There was a date for my item.

There is no ETA on the DHL tracking, I called DHL today and they said I should receive it shortly, its a food item so Im hoping it clears Customs. It is showing it arrived in Australia last Friday, but no update since then, not even to say its waiting for customs clearance which it normally would.
I’ll just have to sit & twiddle my thumbs for now.

Well, I don't know for sure, but maybe there is a delay because items like food have to be inspected, so your parcel is probably just waiting to be inspected, which might cause a bit of a delay. There are more parcels than usual at the moment, at Customs too, and I assume also more parcels waiting to be inspected and approved. When something is not approved they notify the recipient I think, so if you have not been notified it should be fine.
