Delivery

The tracking number said my item was delivered at 11:15 today. It wasn't delivered here, but the Auspost guy turned up at 13:00 with two items, neither of which was the one. I contacted Auspost on line with the details. I'm assuming it went to the wrong address. It hasn't happened before. Who takes responsibility and who do I claim from? Thanks.

Re: Delivery

Was the first item (11.15) being delivered by Aust Post (or one of their couriers Startrek etc?.

Does Aust Post  deliver twice to same house in one day? They don't where I live.

Re: Delivery

Definitely Auspost. We only get one delivery a day here too, though there's several vans that cover the town so that's why I'm thinking it went to the wrong address.

Has the missing parcel been delivered to your local post office?

If it has the tracking will show as delivered....check with the PO before you panic.

Re: Delivery

No. I just got an email from the P.O. person. He said it was delivered and signed for and he's checking to see if the courier remembers. As if he would. Anyhow I replied and repeated that my delivery came at 1pm and was signed for so he could see it wasn't my address that the item came to at 11:15.

Re: Delivery

Don't sell couriers short.  Why do you think a courier would not remember delivering your item?

Re: Delivery

I figured they deliver so many things they wouldn't recall any individual item. I'm wondering if the package actually had the correct address on it. One of the Auspost couriers that come here asks for ID, but the others don't.

Re: Delivery

Does the tracking show the address to which the parcel was delivered?   Is it your address?  If not it could still have been delivered to the PO.

The average courier will remember individual items that they deliver....they scan them onto their vehicle in the morning and scam them again when delivered.

Re: Delivery

No, it doesn't show an address. The seller says he got it correct and I've bought from him before. He tells me he's escalated it to a claim.

Re: Delivery

The story from Auspost has now changed. The guy in charge first said a signature was obtained but now he says it wasn't but the item was put behind a garbage bin. This is sounding wackier by the minute. All I know is my $76 looks like it's kaput.
