Hello
I didn't believe my Nutribullet to be fake but when it exploded in my face I contacted Nutribullet who informed me I had received a counterfeit! Be warned, they look real but many are fake!

Hi there. A warning for all ebayers out there. I purchased a nutribullet on ebay. It was advertised genuine and was expensive at $189. It broke after 10 uses. I emailed the nutribullet company re this. After examining my product it was found to be counterfeit! According to nutribullet company this is RIFE on ebay. They have have a class action law suit going against these companys selling fake nutribullets. PS the company that sold it to me was <Removed> I have contacted ebay and had these ..**bleep** reported and as far as I can see this morning on checking banned from selling nutribullets. They are selling other stuff though-STAY CLEAR OF IT its probably fake too!!!!!!

I recently bought a fake nutribullet on eBay. I was lucky enough to have a genuine one to compare it to. Decent quality, but some clear signs of non-authenticity, such as no trademark (on the box or the machine); no warranty card; no serial number; inferior plastic parts instead of metal; faded print on the machine. What get's me is, before me, this seller (with a rating of 2,000+) only had a few negative ratings and those buyers sighted the item being a second. Not one person saw it was a fake. Since my feedback explaining the nutribullet is fake and what to look for, 30 buyers have given a positive rating saying the item is great - only one buyer has also noticed it is a fake. I just don't get it.
I contacted the nutribullet authorised Australian reps, CDB Goldair, and their response to me was there are so many fakes on eBay they won't even bother looking at mine or taking further action. Their official position was if it wasn't purchased from an authorised retail chain, then it's 99.9% a fake and they won't bother investigating the matter.

I took several comparison photos highlighting the genuine vs fake nutribullets to show CDB Goldair and provide the seller's name/address but, their official position was if it wasn't purchased from an authorised retail chain, then they won't bother investigating the matter.
Strange considering authorised retail chains will only sell genuine - what's the point of that stance? So my view was, if they don't take their product's IP seriously, why should I - so I bought a Nutri Ninja (from a shop) instead.

What are ebay doing about the rest of fake sellers?? NOTHING, because it means a cut in their income!

Probably a good move, I've heard the Ninjas are pretty good, hope you have a better experience.
I think ebay is flooded with fakes & scams, you have to be on the alert. And not just on ebay either.
Kitchen gadgets are definitely one area where you can run into trouble.
Nutirbullets-doubt if there is a genuine new one on all of ebay though possibly some genuine private sellers of second hand ones.
I also wouldn't believe the Genius Nicer slicer dicer ads. The genuine ones are expensive. Don't know if you live anywhere near Caribbean Gardens in Vic. Their market has several stalls where the slicer dicers are an amazing $19, in boxes that look like a good copy too.
And as for movies, you can buy movies there that haven't even been released In Australia yet. Amazing place but there's a bit of scamming going on, I think.
Also watch out (on ebay) for the fake thermomix scams. My sister nearly got trapped. The real article is $2089 yet you will occasionally see them on ebay, offered as brand new etc, by a seller with zero rating, for about $700 with free postage thrown in. I'm sure the seller won't even have a thermomix, fake or not. It's simply a scam for money. I guess they hope someone will pay via bank deposit.

I bought a cheap nicer dicer thingy from the book club at work. It's not called a nicer dicer, but it's the same concept with all the same attachments. All of us who bought one knew that paying $14 for it (rrp $29.99) we weren't getting the real deal, but we figured for that price, we could at least see if we liked it. I use mine A LOT and it's still going great! I don't know how much better the real ones are, but this one does a mondo job.
I'd never buy a high end "popular" appliance of eBay. Maybe once upon a time I may have, but too many scammers around these days, who eBay are quite happy to let continue.

I bought a nutribullet on Ebay which was refurbished and didn't realise it was fake until it started chewing up the rubber seals when I was blending. Ebay won't help me and neither will Paypal. Can't get my money back as I bought it through Paypal and my bank won't help. Any suggestions
