I just won an item: 271223863677. It says postage and handling is $10.50. But the invoice has come though with a postage and handling of $11.75. Have I missed something? I've written to the Seller to ask about it. Is there some reason that the Seller would change the postage and handling quote? I assume the invoice was automatically generated, so why would there be a discrepancy?

I won an auction last night with the cost of postage listed as $12.50....I have since received a msg from the seller asking for an extra $7.50! I paid immediately for my purchase via PayPal after the auction as I always do. What can I do?
if they have made a mistake in the postage they will have to wear the extra cost, not your problem
we have all made a mistake sometimes with postage but we dont ask the buyer for any extra

On the subject of postage, I bought multiple items from a buyer last week to combine postage. When I've received the items, they came in a 3kg Express Post satchel with no signature required. I've paid $25.95 postage and Aust Post charges are really only about $15.00. Do I contact the seller about the big difference???

I dont know how much it is to post a 3kg Express Post satchel but if it is only $15.00 I would be asking the seller the hard question about justifying the $10.00 difference.

shahmink - was that for the 4 quilt cover sets you purchased last week?
If it was are you sure the satchel wasn't the jumbo size satchel which is more expensive than a normal 3kg satchel. I just can't see 4 quilt cover sets fitting into a standard size satchel.

jensmanchester - yep it was for the quilt cover sets.
It's definitely a prepaid max weight 3kg express post satchel.
I've asked seller for explanation and they say the satchels they use are for businesses only. WTF???
Personally I think they're full of it.

shahmink - the seller is correct in saying there is a particular size for businesses only.
This satchel is bigger and costs more than what shows as being available on the AP website for the general public.
In saying that though, the sets would have weighed well over 3kg so the seller is lucky they weren't billed for underpaid postage.

jensmanchester - it was stretched to buggery with 4 quilt cover sets in it.:O
Just for a little extra clarity -
Do you have any idea how much the larger satchels cost jensmanchester?
Also are these larger satchels still max weight 3kg?
Sorry to pick your brain but absolutely despise being ripped off on postage.X-(

Problem sorted. Thank you jensmanchester for confirming there's more than one size satchel with the 3kg weight limit. I may have over-reacted just a tad :8} due to other recent transactions where I definitely was overcharged by double on the postage. I'm super paranoid now.

shahmink - glad to hear you got it all sorted out.

going by aus post a 5kg express satchel cost $23.60 and the seller is sending in a 3kg express satchel for $14.80.....not fair on the buyer
