Disability Scooter $3+K not delivered & a useless customer service

I'm going to be lodging a police report tomorrow for a stolen disability scooter falsely alleged delivered & signed off 21st May & ebay preventing me being able to contact their vendor, leave feed back to protect other disabled customers & get them to step in & do something to stop a lying vendor cheating me & others. I am beyond disgusted. I held off lodging a police report because the 5star vendor lied again & said it was out for delivery today.  I will also be lodging a complaint to NDIA/NDIS fraud squad & anywhere else I can think of. Order number:18-13069-18476. I have already spoken to bank that there will be an upcoming fraud case that involves ebay. I have already lodged an ACCC complaint. Ebay should have stepped in 21 May 2020 when I tried & failed to report a problem.  The vendor provided false delivery info. & even a fraudulently signed delivery advice. Ebay continued preventing me lodging anything & opening a case.

What is the item number ?

 

What is preventing you from opening an item not received claim through eBay's MBG ?

 

Because you have proof it wasn't delivered the first time  if the seller said it was being delivered today ?

 

(If you're unable to)  what happens when you try to contact the seller  or leave feedback ?

 

Is the seller stilll registered ?

Because you have proof it wasn't delivered the first time  if the seller said it was being delivered today ?

 

(If you're unable to)  what happens when you try to contact the seller  or leave feedback ?

 

Is the seller stilll registered ?

It could have something to do with the transaction being over 5 years old. C&P from the OP... "Ebay should have stepped in 21 May 2020 when I tried & failed to report a problem".

Has the latest estimated delivery date passed.

Seems strange that you are unable to contact the seller, but the seller is apparently aware you have an issue with delivery??

Yes, and the post itself was made on 26/5/2025.

But as I was reading this whole post, I had a feeling of deja vu in that some years ago, I am sure I read about someone else having trouble with a disability scooter delivery.

I can't remember the exact details now.

 

What I am finding confusing in this new case is that it is showing as delivered and signed off on 21 May( was it just the seller claiming that or did tracking show that?) and now the seller claiming it is out for delivery on 26th.

 

The only reason I can think of that the buyer could not open a claim might be if false tracking/delivery details have been uploaded. Ebay may automatically block any claims on that basis.

 

I think though that if hoolibob saves the messages where the seller claims it is out for delivery on 26th plus if the buyer can get details from the courier or Australia post or whoever supposedly delivered it, they should have a decent case.

 

Sometimes I think this is where ebay falls down. Everything is so automated and I can understand that, they are after quick decisions, but when it comes to these sorts of problems, especially with so much money involved, they need to have real people who can listen and look into things more.

Somehow trying to reply equals an excepted solution it isn't. Ebay prevented me lodging a report immediately on the 21 May when the delivery co falsely signed the docket. I couldn't message the sender it was not allowing that. The seller lied about delivery on the 26 May again & it was finally delivered on 28 May. IMO this was reconditioned scooter & it was broken It has a broken recharge reset switch & will not charge up. The seller not only sold me a dud but dragged out delivery for me finding out it was a dud. Ebay lied & told me I could get them to step in on the 29 May. IMO Ebay did that knowing the delivery date & that it would have to be put on charge overnight. Ebay turned off the facility enable me to request they step in & turned off my ability to report that the scooter is damaged. I am beyond angry. I'm going to phone the bank tomorrow & get them to cancel the payment to Ebay. Then I'm going to update my report by phoning NDIS fraud squad & also the Sydney police.

Ebay made me wait 2days to open the case. The seller then responded & again lied & said it was out for delivery  on the 26 May.  Ebay still would not step in. A scooter was finally delivered on 28 May. IMO after unpacking this is reconditioned scooter or a shop floor model. It had body damage in a place that would not have occured in transit with the packaging provided, it has a broken reset switch & despite being on charge over night & half the day is not charging. I've screen captured the lot & copies have gone to NDIS fraud squad, ACCC & my bank has details.  The sellers Courier lied about delivery & forged a signature. It placed it in the hands of another contractor. Ebay prevented me lodging a report immediately on the 21 May when the delivery co falsely signed the docket. I couldn't message the sender in the usual way Ebay was not allowing that. Ebay made me wait 2days to open the case. The seller then responded & again on 26 May lied & said it was out for delivery.  Ebay still would not step in. A scooter was finally delivered on 28 May. IMO after unpacking this is reconditioned scooter or a shop floor model.
