Dispute lodged- am I being picky

Have just lodged a dispute for an item that was not received and has not been marked as sent,  paid for item 14/12 and have sent a cuple "where is emails". Seller has excellent feedback and I have bought off them before - but have experienced slow post > 10 working days and they are in next suburb. Looking at feedback they are just getting +ve feedback for items sold beg of Dec.

Do you think I am being picky? i am just annoyed as I wanted the item before Xmas.

I also noticed seller never leaves feedback excelpt a -ve where they did not get an item after 20 days.

That's four weeks, so nobody can accuse you of rushing into it.

I would open a dispute. It might spur them into communication. You don't have to escalate it straight away; you get 20 days to do that.

It's a pity you were unable to pick the item up. Don't let the dispute close until you've received your item or a full refund.

I open a dispute for an untracked item after 3 weeks for domestic and 4 for overseas. I will give it another week or two depending on the time of year before escalating but i do not consider protecting myself as being picky.

In the unlikely event an item arrives after a dispute is closed and I have a refund you can always offer to pay the seller again.
