They suggest to wait for another 10 days after the delivery date for the item
However I since recieved another message for Ebay saying the following
*Important*
We strongly recommend that you do not go ahead with the purchase however if you have already paid for this item but haven't received it, you need to act quickly to get your money back.
- Contact your bank to stop payment if you paid by cheque or bank deposit.
- Contact your credit card company if you paid by credit card.
- If you paid with PayPal, you may be eligible for up to $20,000 in PayPal Buyer Protection. To file a dispute go to the Resolution Centre in My eBay and click on I haven't received it yet or I received an item that does not match the seller's description.
If you have any questions, please contact us at:
My question is, do I wait the extra days or do I stop the payment straight away as it was paid by credit card through paypal

just put in an Item Not Received dispute via PayPal.
sounds as if ebay has removed it for a very good reason.
you can escalate the dispute in Paypal to a claim and you'll get your money back
as it was funded thru yr ccard it will go str.to the ccard in a few days time, not into your paypal account.

Thanks for the quick reply , I'll do that now

I suggest if the item has been removed, you do whatever you can to recover your money as quickly as possible.
Many of eBays policies take them time to implement. Do what you can to cover your own backside. Remember: Delay defeats equity!
*** Most important โ ONLY pay by PayPal !!! I've bought many things by EFT but recently been defrauded. I won't get caught that way again!

Please keep in mind that (as far as I know), that message is on the automated eBay notice when a listing is removed for any reason at all, including (but not limited to) policy violations like keyword spamming, so doesn't necessarily mean the seller is out to scam the buyer - if your seller does not have any recent selling history, the price was too good to be true, or there are any other notable hallmarks of a scam, then I would agree with all of the above advice, but if they do have an established, good reputation, and the removal seems to be an anomaly, chances are the listing was removed for a reason other than they're up to no good and the transaction could still proceed as normal.

Currently the claim is being reviewed by paypal and I have received Final Value Fee credits. Does that stop me from reversing the credit card payment through the bank or do I put my faith in the paypal process alone.

One at a time. Wait for Paypal's resolution, which will almost certainly be in your favour, before going to your bank. Be aware also, that if Paypal refund you and the payment was credit card funded, the refund will go to your credit card, not your Paypal account, and will take a few days to appear.
And, if you do get a refund and the item subsequently arrives, REPAY the seller.

Buyers don't pay final value fees so certainly don't get credited with them!

If you are the buyer the Final Value Fees are nothing to do with you. They are payable by the seller and you should not even know what has happened to them.
If you now start a bank chargeback you will void your paypal claim....you cannot have 2 bites at the cherry and may well find that you lose the bank chargeback. It is fraud to make 2 claims for the same item.
