Recently bought a laptop for around 350$ , the purchase went through smoothly , seller said he received the payment and was about to ship and it was going good until ebay says a case has been opened for "unpaid item" . I payed with paypal so this was very strange but the seller said it was a bug and gave me a tracking number . Tracking number leads to the item being shipped and delivered in notthingam central depo and the shipping method is pitney bowes limited . The seller claims this is to ebay (parcel has been signed by someone) and apparently according to the seller its by the person that works at the ebay depo and it will be shipped to me now . Anyone have input on this ? Im very scared and do not want to lose 350$

You have the tracking number and have been able to track the item to the Global Shipping hub.
What more do you need to prove that it is on the way?
Even if it does get lost you paid with paypal so can open a dispute to get your money back.
Just be patient and wait for it to arrive.

I can understand fairytale being scared. It doesn't look as if he/she has much buying on ebay, a lot of money is involved and there has been a hiccup. It would put the wind up a lot of buyers.
Fairytale: I'd say it probably was an ebay bug, they do happen from time to time.
Pitney Bowes is sometimes used for postage so the seller wasn't putting you on there.
You should be right, it sounds as if the item is on its way, it has tracking. It is not being shown yet as delivered to your address, that's the main thing, it is still in the system, so you will need to wait a bit longer for it to arrive.
If you give it reasonable time and the parcel does not turn up, then you would be able to make a paypal claim & get your money back if the seller could not prove, through tracking, that the item was actually delivered to your address.
But all should go well & I would say you will have it in a few days.

*groan* When will I ever learn to check everything before answering.
At least the information is correct for other sites as well as Australia.

-----------------
How come the question was asked on here then?
Not that I mind international visitors, mind you.
Just I would have thought the aussie board was a bit obscure for people in Malta making purchases on UK.

I'd guess for the same reason lots of people had to sign in to ebay Germany,
Holland, UK etc last week
They just happened to get directed here.
It often happens to USA posters as well
