Hi,
How absolutely ludicrous has this become.
This evening I have purchased multple items from one seller.
When I go back into my eBay orders - 7 items have an estimated delivery date of Fri 5th - 12th.......the remaining 4 items are 8th - 12th
ALL ITEMS WERE PAID FOR IN ONE ORDER through Paypal
Is this eBay and their outlandish estimations, or something to do with the seller.
( I hasten to add....I am in no hurry whatsoever, love the look of all items & am very happy with price...lol)
I was a seller a little while ago and often wondered how the hell eBay could put in black and white ......on MY listings....the most unrealistic delivery time with no consultation or real idea of where in Australia , the item actually was.
I live in the firkin outback....not Bris/Sydney/Melb metro - where you can organise a boy on a bike to drop your parcel over........

definitely an ebay thing - don't blame the seller. If worried, ask the seller for estimated delivery time.

Hi there, I too live in the scrub(7hours from nearest capital).
I have NEVER looked at an estimated delivery time.
Did the same as you this evening & bought muliple items from one seller.....would'nt have a clue about the estimated delivery time.
I buy,I pay , I wait.!
After 2 wks I enquire.
After 4 wks I open an INR case.(Only had to do that twice.)
Works for me !!!

No don't ask the seller, the seller has NO control over delivery time.
A little bit of common sense has to come into it somewhere.

It doesn't matter that you paid for the items together, the estimated delivery times were created with the listing. They are an ebay thing, completely out of the seller's control. The only factor the seller has control of is how soon they post your item - as long as they are within their stated handling time you have no cause for complaint.

I certainly read your post as being very PRO seller and negative eBay regarding ETA times, hell you even put in the post that you are patient and happy with the deal etc..
Learn to read people, this OP is a buyer I would be happy to have.

Only thing I can think of is, the items may have had different handling times. One may have had a 2 day handling time, another a 3 day. The handling time extends the estimated delivery time.
A lot of the sellers now are extending their handling time for that reason. They still post the same or next day, but it fattens out the delivery estimate to allow for slow transit times......especially at this time of year when the mail system is clogged and the delivery estimates don't allow for that in the listings.

Sorry, I mis-typed: what I really meant was the seller should be able to tell you what day he posted, if in fact he does not supply a trackable number. Then you can work out for yourself what the estimated time should be (and then add a few days) allowing for public holidays etc.
