I have bid on a a pair of toothbrushes. The postage said $75 (In Perth)
I put in my bid and went to postage calculater. It does not change when I put in my postcode 3134. Stays at $75. I clicked the postage link (Aust post satchel) and it comes up as $14:40.
Is the seller doing something underhand. Im not paying $75 for 2 toothbushes to be posted.

Sadly I had to go to work and there is only 14mins left.
So I have learnt a lesson. Maybe a Negative review may make me feel better.
It may make you feel better . . . . . but does the seller really deserve a negative?
The postage information was there for you to see before you made your bid, and you did bid. The fact that they did not reply to your messages may justify a lower than 5 DSR for Communication, but I don't think you should neg them because of the high postage cost.

I wont give neg but I will sure be more carefual and advise others to check postage costs if they seem steep.
I guess for the seller its one way to keep ebay fees down. List item cheap, charge higher distribution costs
Thank you all for the comment. Cheers Baz

I don't really understand the advice being offered here because if the seller deliberately meant to charge $75 than that is a policy violation for circumventing ebay fees.
I'm hoping it is just a mistake and the seller will sort it out for you but if not I would refuse to pay and report them to ebay.
Read about it here and there is a customer support report link at the bottom of the page.

Yes I see now what they are doing. They have a number of items. Some with a full BIN price and free postage, others with a lower auction price and excessive postage. I would report them.
