Let's try this again.
New 7.5" 7 inch Carry Case/Bag for Portable In-Car DVD player NO PAYPAL ACCEPTED
Unbelievable.

That may be but this seller is stretching the rules by saying he excepts paypal in the listing then makes a point of saying he doesn't.
i just don't like the trickyness of that.

Exactly how it should be for a pick up only item Belinda. 🙂
Paypal offers no protection on pick ups
Um er um no mouldy-seller has actually written it wrong & is breaching policy.
The seller isn't allowed to say no Paypal but they can say cash on pickup preferred.
Also, the seller is obviously unaware that in choosing COD instead of cash on pickup, they're offering an Australia Post service.

Except that you have to offer a safe payment method, even if it is unsafe for pickup items. I would word it differently, but I would still try to discourage Paypal for a pickup.

just wonder, I have seen somewhere that seller says: "payment by PP is OK but if you wish to pick up you must pay by cash only"

I'm not sure why but the thought of Paymate scares me.
I'm sure it's just as safe as PayPal but I just don't feel comfortable using it.
I don't mind using Bank Deposit but I'm too impatient. I like using PP so I know my item is paid for straight away *shrugs*
For pick-up items, I just mention they can pay via PP but they won't receive any buyer protection so it's recommended and encouraged they pay with cash after they've inspected the items when they come to pick it up. I've not once had anyone pay with PP for a pick up item yet.

I had to use Paymate for the first time a few weeks back, it's actually quite painless and very easy. I didn't even have to sign up for it. Just like Paypal, it doesn't cost a buyer to use it.

The seller accepts PayMate so is offering a secure payment method . They don't have to accept PayPal once they have done that . There's no need for the "No PayPal" note in their listing though .
PayMate is safe but far more difficult to do a claim with and you only get 2 claims a year ( unless that has now changed) so my guess is that the seller has had some experiences with PayPal and buyers they are not happy with and has switched to PayMate.
They will probably attract less buyers even more so with the unnecessary blurb in their listings

Frankly after browsing their items and their responses in their feedback I'd say it's a seller best to stay away from . This person has some serious issues and being blinded by 5 x Pink No PayPal notices in one listing alone is enough for me to look elsewhere 🙂
