Hello!
Have purchased a car part that I could not find locally. The FASTEST item i could get was in the UK - I am in Australia.
Postage estimated it would arrive within a decent time frame. Everything else was an extra week or two wait.
Item purchased 19 Feb. Estimated arrival 27-28 Feb.
So I threw $106.69 at Express postage (item cost $106.60 so the postage cost more than the part!)
It is now nearly 5th of MARCH and I still havent received the item.
There is no tracking (which is RIDICULOUS) and they have so far ignored 2 emails to them asking to chase it up for me.
IF the item arrives soon - Can I get a refund on the postage? I am happy to pay for the goods - but the postage has not been even close to what was advertised and the ONLY reason i purchased it was the for purpose of EXPRESS postage..
I have not taken any action against the seller yet. I do not like to leave negative reviews if they are not earned.
But I have yet to hear back from them about it. If it does not arrive by the 9th (end of this week) then i will be starting a claim.
I just wanted to see if anyone could tell me if its worth kicking up a fuss about to try get some money back or just leave a negative review and move on..?
Thanks, Matt.

So youโre saying as a consumer I have no argument to a refund (partial or not) for being mislead by the advertised delivery date? It should not have been advertised if it was not probable. Not my fault. Youโre still attacking me about my assumption of receiving my parcel on time. Thatโs ridiculous.
What don't you get about the delivery date being an ESTIMATE BY eBay ???? I your original post you claimed an ETA of 7 business days from the UK to Australia - I can't even get parcels or letters from Perth 300K's south in that timeframe, so that ETA (by eBay) from the UK is totally unrealistic.
EDIT. please stop replying to yourself, make an effort to indicate in your replies WHO you are replying to..............sheesh.
Edit again. Apologies you've learnt how to do it.......

We understand that you are annoyed both because you haven't received your item in the time frame you were expecting, and that you paid so much more and didn't need to, but there are many reasons that are out of the sellers hands for late delivery and getting angry won't fix that. You may need to just chalk it up to experience.

I would push the seller for the tracking number again as express post or courier in my experience only goes by road when they run out of airports. My guess it has either been sent late or not express but you wont know till the parcel arrives which will have the sent date and method on it.
As far as refund not sure if it counts for international express post and you would need to check the parcel to see what method and company they used.

Yes, but the date you were given was by ebay, who have zero clue
Of course you have the right to be peeved, but as far as the 'date' goes, that is the work of ebay
I am pleased you have usually been lucky with deliveries, but it is not the norm for most of us

I suspect bear, that no seller in their right mind would give a guaranteed delivery date especially when the item is travelling by different postal/courier systems, and being subject to possible delays in customs.

@ineedfire
I am am not saying anything about your right to a refund. eBay have set up a flawed MBG for buyers that you can take advantage of.
I am saying that your understanding of delivery timeframes appear to have been based upon some false assumptions, and that until you understand or acknowledge these you will interpret my posts as attacks upon you, which they are not.
- eBay estimated delivery dates are fanciful and not based on realistic delivery data, especially for international delivery,
- International parcels may arrive/land in any international freight arrivals location,
- delivery once in Australia may take days or weeks depending on customs clearance times and the carrier used
- your seller marking the item as being shipped within 1-2 days of purchase means nothing if they are sourcing the item from a supplier after you purchase (post #7 โThe seller has responded to my first query asking for tracking information. They have said they emailed their supplier that it apparently ships directly from, asking for any tracking detailsโ)

we understand you are on a mobile. On the mobile it always shows as the poster replying to the Original Poster.
