Express paid but standard post given

Hey, I’ve been emailing my seller for a few days with no reply. I brought some clay express post. They delivered it standard. But i paid and extra $13.80 for express. I asked for a refund of the postage and no reply at all. Any ideas on if I can lodge a claim with eBay?

The seller should definitely be offering to refund you the difference between standard and express postage.

The only thing I can think of if the seller totally ignores you is that you could open an ebay claim for item not as described. You can do that automatically, without involving the seller.

Go to your "My Ebay" section and find what you bought and there should be a drop down menu of actions to choose from.

Once you open a claim, the seller needs to respond to it within a set time, otherwise you can finalise that claim and get a full refund. If they wanted the item back, they would need to pay for the return postage.

You can't open an item not as described because of postage. It sounds like the OP got what they bought, they are just miffed they paid extra for express, and rightly so. It would be fraudulent to then claim item not as described, when the item was what they actually bought, all over a few dollars in postage.

If the seller is ignoring the OP, all they can really do is reflect it in feedback. As in, give a neutral or a negative for not getting the postage service they paid for.

If it was the last seller that gave them feedback, and looking at thier EDD, for normal and express,  I could be wrong, but my guess is the goods werent really located in Oz.  So they may have gotten express, just not with the normal look of express.

I may be wrong,  but with their feedback and other pointers, well lets see.   And yes I know they are registered in Australia

You could be right. I'm 4 hours from Sydney and not in the express network, so AP estimate 2 days, rather than overnight for me (it's always been overnight for express from Sydney, and often for regular post, but that's another story).

Today is November 21st (just, it's nearly midnight!). Express postage on that item is showing delivery of 28-30th November for express postage to me. For regular post, it's showing 30th November to 5th of December.

Can anyone say DROPSHIPPER???? I'm now leaning towards you, the OP did get express, just not from Sydney. I'd be interested to know how long it took for their item to arrive.
