I've never left negative or neutral feedback in all the time I've used Ebay.
I have a few items refunded, but I think that has only been a total of 2 times in 15 years of using ebay.
Currently, I'm assuming because of Covid, packages are taking longer than in my past experience to arrive from China, and this is reflected in the "expected delivery window".
I purchased 3 items on 16th Oct, and the expected delivery windows extend to 17th Dec and 30th Dec.
The 60 day limit on feedback is unfair for both the buyer and seller. I've noticed quite a lot of negative and neutral feedback for these sellers being "Item not received". It's not fair for the seller, as, given the current circumstances around Covid, the package legitimately might not arrive within the feedback window. If the package doesn't arrive within the feedback window, the chances of the seller getting a positive rating for the transaction are close to zero, while the chance of a negative or neutral rating are greatly increased because the buyer can only leave feedback prior to receiving the item.
It's not fair to the buyer either, as if the product doesn't arrive before the feedback cutoff, the buyer doesn't really get the choice to offer fair fairback. The buyer either, unfairly, rates the seller based on not receiving the product, or alternatively, doesn't get to leave a rating. Being able to rate a seller is what gives me confidence in buying from ebay.
It also diminishes the trust and reputation of Ebay by supporting scammers and penalising honest sellers. I googled "speedpak" after all three of my purchases being stalled for over 10 days after clearing Australian customs. It seems a number of sellers are scamming they system, and buyers not being able to leave feedback after 60 days enables the scammers.

Yes, this is a continuing issue!

how to give feedback on an item eBay has removed
@deadbbaron wrote:how to give feedback on an item eBay has removed, Item took a long time to arrive eBay in their infine wisdom deleted the item from my purchases how can I leave feed back ?Their 60 day turn around is far too quick in this covid time and should be extended.
I am in agreement. Let's restore the FB to 90 days as per what it was a few years back.

NOOOO, that would cause a worldwide meltdown and enable Pitney Bowes to take over everything.......

Where are all the sellers petitioning eBay to extend the time to leave FB, if 60 days is so unfair to them?
You'd think there'd be as many sellers as there has been buyers (all dozens of them - dozens!*) saying the same thing, if it's unfair to everybody, right?
Let's not forget eBay introduced policies that meant negs and neuts over delivery time qualify for removal under current circumstances, so eBay is not only aware of buyers' propensity to do so, they specifically addressed it already, and instead of giving more time for buyers to leave FB, all they did was shrug and go "eh, we'll just remove those ones".
If a few buyers are saying "it's not long enough", but the rest aren't and literally not a single seller is, and we were in some magical fantasy land where eBay was a democracy, the threads about the issue here wouldn't even be enough to cause a motion to put it to a vote.
*It hasn't even been that, just picked that for the memes.

Well, apart from some sellers who lurk here and like to control what gets said here, most other sellers are either out there concentrating on selling and if they have an issue, and they are the type to discuss in an open forum, they would be in the Selling forum.
We are in troubled times and we are seeing in Australia, some states becoming police state like in some aspects. Things are not as they were.
If I start selling again, I would be happy with a restoration to the earlier 3 months timme to leave feedback.

Criticising what someone has said, and / or providing a counter-argument to what has been said, is not a form of control, it is simply disagreement.
Disagreement is not oppressive, nor is it inherently disrespectful - the only ones who act like it is, are those who can not support their arguments in a valid way, but instead behave as though they are being personally attacked just because their opinions / arguments are being criticised. (And I am not saying debates / comments don't get personal here sometimes, I'm well aware that they do, but I will go so far as to say everyone here at least recognises they have no control over what gets posted by others, but they do have control over whether or not they indicate they are tired of things that get posted here repeatedly, which is the same freedom of expression that you enjoy).
There haven't been any sellers in the seller section complaining that the time to leave FB isn't long enough - it's easy enough to search the boards to verify. If they are just getting on with selling, that would suggest it's not even on their minds, let alone something important enough to start (or contribute to) threads about it.
My point was that sellers tend to be pretty vocal about things that they find unfair to themselves, in their capacity as sellers. I've only seen buyers suggest it's unfair to sellers, lol.

There are a few people who resort to bullying here. It is well known and it has been mentioned by myself as well as other members from time to time. They work toogether.
And to clarify things, even though I disagree with a significant amount of what you post from time to time, I don't put you in their clique.

Yeah, well I guess I've never been much of a clique-y person - snappy, maybe, in multiple senses of the word except as a dresser (no one has ever praised my fashion sense, anyway), which tends not to lend itself well to creating tight social circles. (Then again, maybe it's my lame sense of humour
).

It is well known that you label anyone a bully who disagrees with you and those who agree with that are your cronies anyway.

Or perhaps it could be that you have some values that don't allow you to sink to the level of bullying.
You may have your opinion on matters such as this issue with FB time as I do. But it's just your view vs mine or the OPs. Other people can't stand on that level so they incorporate certain tactics and rely on backup.
