Feeling frustrated with ebay!!

Hi, I ordered an item from this seller <Removed> I didn't received the item after estimated delivery time. When i contacted the seller, he said to wait as the item from China to Sydney will take a bit more time to reach. I waited for some time but i didnt receive the item. This conversations went on for some time and i waited but i didn't received the item even after 40 days of estimated delivery time has passed. I got frustrated and asked the seller for refund. The seller told that he will refund but didn't do it even after 2 weeks. Now if i try to get ebay help, then there is no option in ebay to contact them, as the 30 day money back period has expired, which i was not aware of (for unreceived item). And then i thought of giving a negative feedback to the seller but the clever seller has changed the item name and ebay says i cannot give a feedback because the item name has chaged. How frustrating is that!!!

Dear ebay, i want to give feedback to the seller and not to the product, so can you pls fix this stupid policy of yours? Also why is there no option to contact you after the 30 day money back guarantee period. Is there any sense in that?

Re: Feeling frustrated with ebay!!

I'm sorry you feel frustrated but this forum is for buyers ofebay - ebay themselves don't bother to read it.

If you paid by paypal, you still have time to open a paypal dispute and get your money back.   Sign into paypal and follow their resolution process.

PS:   you are not allowed to post the actual seller's name here.

Re: Feeling frustrated with ebay!!

The feedback has nothing to do with any name change and if you were told that by an eBay call centre staff, that is incorrect.

You have 60 days to leave feedback and I am guessing your 60 days are up.

Just go to PayPal and open a case for INR.

Re: Feeling frustrated with ebay!!

Sorry this happened to you.

If it ever occurs again, the minute the last estimated date of delivery has passed, open an Item Not Received case.

Don't let the seller string you along - the Chinese are the worst at this.

Don't get involved with them, just open the dispute.

Always come to the boards if something doesn't feel right straightaway.

Update: If the 60 days are up, you cannot open a dispute in Ebay. Go to Paypal as Kopenhagen has suggested as you have 180 days to make a claim

Re: Feeling frustrated with ebay!!

None of us here are from ebay, we are just buyers & sellers like you.

What the others are telling you is that you have left it too long, that is the reason you can't leave feedback on that purchase or get money back from ebay.

You can't do much about it now, just remember for next time if you buy off ebay, don't let sellers talk you into waiting. Give it a few days after the expected arrival date maybe but that is it.

But the good news is you can still apply to paypal for your money back for an item not received. You have 180 days for that.

So do that. Good luck.

"Precious comments"?     I hope that was not meant a rudely as it has come across.

As already said....have you opened a paypal dispute to get your money back?

Re: Feeling frustrated with ebay!!

It's called a 30 day money back guarantee. Not a 40 or 60 day money back guarantee. Why would you think it would work after 40 days when it says it's a 30 day money back guarantee?

If you are unsure how to open a PayPal dispute, come back and let us know and someone will talk you through it. Don't leave it any longer or you'll run out of time.
