Short answer, no. Many have tried but ebay.cn doesn't want you to do that...............
Members have tried using a distance filter, but if the Chinese registered seller has the item location as somewhere in Australia it won't work. (and to be fair some Chinese sellers do have warehouses in Australia but often don't carry all the items there).

I am currently disputing with a seller claiming Aus Stock fast delivery via aupost.
It was costlier than the china listed item. However they did ship it from china and sent me the chinese tracking saying its aupost tracking. Item is still showing in transit. Ebay would not do anything about it.
Forgot to mention all this is for ebay plus item, 50$ wasted.

Your money is never wasted.
There's always the ebay MBG to get a refund.

It would be good if we could! I've thought the same for a while but have never found a way to do it.
You can certainly tick the filter, 'Australia Only' but it is annoying as it only lasts for that search, it doesn't stay on. Like you, I would like to see it as a set and forget. It wouldn't mean that overseas items were hidden from the search. Ebay could just do as it did in the old days and as it still does (if, for instance, you do a search of items within 20km)-show all the relevant Australian items first, then under that, all the other relevant items that might be further away or international.
I doubt it would wreck ebay sales if they enabled such a filter as there are already lots of ads that come on when you look at something eg 'similar items' etc so the Chinese stuff would still be present and visible, just not so overwhelming in some categories.
