Fraud and scams

Too meny times I see fraudulant sellers on eBay and I can't see why eBay doeasn't spot them before they start selling. Does eBay have back ground investigation? Buyer protection is not working for me, "buyer protection", sound good but does not work... If you are going to use words like buyer protection then it should protect all regaurdless.

Can you back up what you say with some facts, buyer protection has always worked for me and that is under the Paypal only protection and now you have ebay protection as well if you choose to use it.

The rules for claiming buyer protection are very well documented and very easy to follow so as long as you keep to the guidlines it should work and of course if you are buying something expensive you can give yourself the extra protection of funding your payment with a credit card.

What do you mean regardless ?  regardless of what ?

Why is buyer protection not working for you?

What type of products is it not working for ? Some products are not covered by buyer protection including those that are picked up and not posted?

What type of sellers are purchasing from ?  Is there a common denominator such as particular country you are buying from ?

Background investigation? It's eBay not the CIA.

Do you really want eBay having more info about you?No need for a tinfoil hat, they don't know who you are.

If eBay cared about such details or buyer safety, the Report an Item/Seller button would really work.

You buy mainly from high volume sellers from China who probably have a lot of negs for items not received etc.

That's all ok to get cheap items to re-sell higher or whatever but sometimes you are going to be disappointed. That is eBay 101.

Protect yourself by looking at the seller fb,that's what it's there for.
