Recently I bought an item from a seller in the US, paid for the item to be delivered to Australia via the Global Shipping Program. I was given a tracking number, which showed the progress of the delivery. However the progress changed from In Transit to Delivered in Erlanger, KY. I understand that with the GSP the seller posts the item to Pitney Bowes Inc. in Erlanger and they re-package it and send it to Australia. However, is it odd that the status says delivered? Will the tracking get updated with the new international tracking number and change back to in transit again? I've never used this service before and I'm a bit apprehensive. I've contacted the seller but they're as much clueless as me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a problem how EBAY hijacked and changed my address which they claimed they did not, when in fact they did.
Ebay didn't change your address. All sellers who use the GSP automatically
send their parcels sent directly to Pitney Bowes. Pitney Bowes then usually
repackages it, and then forwards it on to you.
Postage
After receiving your payment, the seller posts your item to a local US or UK shipping centre.
International shipping experts at the shipping centre process the package, complete customs forms, pay applicable import charges and post the package to the address that you specified at the time of purchase.

Maybe you need to acquaint yourself with the terms of the GSP

PROOF
the label sent to the seller by the sale
Including my message saying where to post it to my address here
They changed the address from my PAYPAL Australian address.
As for acquainting myself I am well aware of how thrid party forwarders work and I did not authorise it.
Both seller and buyer complained and we got it onto FEDEX within 24 hours.
It is total waste of time to use and just delays parcesl that would otherwise be effiiciently sent by USPS.

Read the links. That's not 'proof' as you call it. Again....they didn't change your address!
By buying from someone using the GSP you automatically authorise the method
of posting.
Fedex are the distributors of GSP items in Australia anyway.
So I'm thinking you didn't really have a small victory after all
For future reference, if you don't want a seller to post using the GSP then
ask in advance if they would opt out of the program. Most sellers don't even
know they've been opted in. Ebay opts them in automatically.
Make a note of these instructions for your future sellers -
To opt out of the GSP, US sellers only have to go into

Interesting? Don't think so. I'm done explaining.
He needs to read ebay's policies on the GSP, and not assume he knows everything
