I warn everyone to be aware of eBay Plus. They are scammers on a different level. They took monies out of my PayPal account, to renew my Plus membership, when I cancelled about 6 weeks prior to it been due. You need to ring your Financial institution and have them stop EBay Plus from taking monies out if you don’t want It anymore, or those scammers will go ahead and direct debit your account even after you cancel. They refused to give me my monies back. It’s not worth it anyway.

All my friends have had to put a stop on them taking monies out of their account, so it doesn’t happen to them what happened to me. I have spent thousands of dollars on eBay. I’m a buyer, not a seller. I just wanted to try their free trial and that was it. Like I said, it’s not worth it.
That is not how to cancel your membership, you do it on your ebay plus account management. When you signed up to ebay plus
you authorized ebay to to take annual subscription payments from your nominated account. Cancelling the payment authority with paypal does not absolve you of any future payments you may incurr in relation to ebay plus membership. So unless you actually cancel your membership, ebay are quite within their rights to bill you, year after year. Please advise all your friends, to cancel their ebay plus memberships correctly, or they may be liable to debt recovery actions and could damage their chances of obtaining credit in the future.

Thank you so much for that, I will let everyone know. Ebay Plus never explained any of this to me, even after I’ve disputed my case with them. They are very cunning. They are taking advantage of people who don’t know this. I thought it was just a phone call. Thanks again

I did follow the protocol. I thought I had to phone to cancel, which I did. The operator I spoke to did not explain that to me how it was done. I thought I was doing it correctly, obviously not. I’m sure I’m not the only one who didn’t understand. Just putting it out there, so that others do not make the same mistake I did!!!

At the top of every one of the Ebay pages I open there is an ebayplus logo
Click on that and it tells you all about your membership and if you use the 'edit membership' drop down box there is a box to cancel

I’ve learned not to take up any offers again. There’s always a catch. Bon Voyage EBay Plus for me and my friends. It’s not worth it.

Read the earlier messages. I’ll repeat again. I rang them to cancel and I thought that was that, until I found out they took my monies out. They never explained to me how it’s done, I thought it would be cancelled when I rang. That’s stealing on a higher scale. Call it what you like, They scammed my monies from my account.
