When you delve into the feedback, it's quite disturbing, it goes on forever!

exactly right. I have tracked 250 buyers and sellers over the last 18 months. Same story every time .... start new seller, seller lists books, buyers 'buy' books, buyers leave glowing feedback, sellers start to list gold, genuine buyers look at feedback and see 10-15 glowing feedbacks and because the items are private, potential buyers cannot see what the glowing feedbacks are for and they assume 'gold' so they buy. The seller rips off $5 or $10K by that time NEGS start to flood in, seller makes feedback private and abandons selling Id, eBay finally acts and NARUs seller, meanwhile they have started a new seller, you guessed it, listing books, buyers buy books, leave glowing feedback .... and away they go again.... it's been going on for 18 months or more.
