the seller Removed> likes to advertise things he doesn't have (when he says he has more than 10 in stock). He then emails you and says the courier damaged it in-transit (several other buyers have given the same feedback in the last 4 weeks, and it doesn't seem that likely a courier would damage a steel framed car alternator). he then immediately relists the items at an increased price and then when you ask him about it he claims it's a different item. Anyway, I've reported him to eBay, and i've made a complaint to the NSW Department of Fair Trade. If anyone would like to join in with me I want to initiate a class action against him to recoup the costs of the time spent persuing his ripoff **bleep**.

Forget it.....you can only recoup any money you have paid him and I presume he is refunding if he is out of stock? If he is not refunding then open a dispute against him to get your money back.
The reason for the price increase is probably because he is out of stock and does not want to end the listing and lose his purchase history.

That ID belongs to a member with 0 feedback. Also, you can't name and shame on the forums. This is a prime example why. You have named the wrong seller and risk damaging their reputation if they decide they want to use their account.
What do you think Fair Trading is going to do? Did you get a refund?

Yes, you have left out one vital letter in the ID.
If you think that seller is a scam artist then I would hate to think what you would say about a really bad seller. Several of his negatives are not really deserved.
Get your money back and look elsewhere for the item you want.
