Paypal stated the case was closed as the transaction was unlawfull. How can this be when it was a normal buyer seller transaction

In what way?

 

I can't really comment or offer advice without having a couple of things clarified, if possible (eg what was the item or items purchased, was that PayPal's exact wording, if not what was the wording of the reason they provided, and it may also help to know what was the dispute type - item not received or not as described?)

If it was an "item not received" dispute with Paypal the seller only has to show tracking that it was lodged. With eBay's MBG they have to show delivery as well, unfortunately if you have been knocked back by Paypal you cannot open a dispute with eBay, but you can the other way around.

 

Always open an eBay dispute first then a Paypal one if it fails.

Good on you. Isn't it best to leave dumb criminals dumb?

Might I suggest to all the repliers checking out the poster BEFORE giving them tips on how to hone their craft

Dusty has concluded the OP is the actual dishonest party in the transaction, and is using irony to indicate you've just explained to the OP how to do dishonesty better.

I'm yet to reach the same conclusion as Dusty, so disagree with Dusty's reply to you.

The wording from paypal was case closed as the transaction was unlawfull..

The item purchased was two led globes for headlights,

The globes were faulty, and after many messages the seller agreed to refund the initial purchase price in December of 2019.

To this date the refund has not been recieved, even after many messages to the seller, who will not respond to any messages.

The two globes were purchased in August of 2019, so this case has expired the time for any form of redress to either paypal or ebay.

Because paypal closed this case it appears I have no form of redress now.

Hope this clarifies the situation.
