Just curious about other peoples opinion.
I have watched something get relisted over and over again for the last 18 months for the same price.
This item wil never ever sell at the price they want for it.....it even got to the point where I emailed them to give them the low down on what items sell for in that category, with comparison items.
Got a very pleasant email back saying thank you - but there is the item again for the same price, and that price means serious listing fees.
I really feel for this seller - they are wasting money yet they are still on the ebay merry go round....should there be a limit?

It's my Store and I'm paying to list (no free listings for me) so as far as I'm concerned I can list and relist an item as long as I want to. New buyers are signing up every day and you just don't know when an item will sell. Quite often I sell a newer line together with an old one to the same buyer - jmo:-)

Agree with super-nova on that. Makes you wonder how many other of their items listed on ebay they have shill bid on to inflate the selling price. Have reported them for it.

You bid on your own item?
You should have started it at a price you were happy to accept!!!

thesoulyearns/zenremix, maybe when [not if] eBay stops your auctions and puts you on BINs for a while you'll do some soul searching on that one.
Not only shocking behaviour - but to then admit it on the boards............:^O
Words fail me..................

For half the things I sell, I just set it at postage price. The $3 auctions with free postage on this account are all just covering postage and nothing more.
That was meant to be my other account. This is not going to end up well. ๐

OMG-this thread has gone horribly wrong on so many levels.
Soul,what can I say except ๐
Sooo disappointed in you.

Why on earth being an experienced boardie would you come on here and out yourself and your other id ad shill bidders? You are right, unless you are VERY lucky this is not going to end well.
As for relisting my store items get re listed year after year, this year I have sold more old stock than new.
My auction site I list once, very occasionally twice, and if they don't sell they get another trot on my BIN with best offer id on a ten day listing. If that doesn't shift them they go back in the box and come out again when I am short of second hand items to use on those two sites.

Soul, I'm a buyer only. From a buyer's point of view it just doesn't engender any trust in sellers or the system here in general with what you have admitted to. I understand you don't want your items to sell for peanuts but maybe you should try markets or something instead of Ebay if you're only going to shill bid an item if it looks like it's going to go too cheap. A lot of buyers will see this thread and think long and hard before they bid on something in future.

To bring the topic back around - the item is listed at $12500. The retail price of this item is approximately $3000 on a good day...the ebay price for it would be approx 15 - 25% of the retail price
This listing will not sell - yet it goes around and around
The small amount of research it would take to see the reatlity of the price would be minimal....so i just wonder about it.

Raq,
What is the item description?
