For those trying to use the code and getting an error here is the fix I got from ebay.
Log onto the eBay website of the country you are purchasing from - Example if the UK log onto ebay.co.UK. Just use the same log on and password for your AUS account.
Go to your cart and proceed to checkout. Apply the code which will work and make payment.
