How to print out a listing?

Hi guys

It would seem a simple thing to do and I used to be able to do it (I could even select what parts of the listing I wanted to print out).

Basically I want to print out a listing page - actually I'd LOVE to print out just a simple summary without all the extra 'garbage' that appears on the pages ie

"See what other people bought after buying this item"

and

"More from the same seller."....and "Sponsored Links" (and all the associated thumbnails)

Can it be done?

I can't find any print/printing options on the pages. I tried both Mozilla and Google Chrome - no print options with either.

Is my only option to make a screen shot of the parts I want and then print those out? That can't be right. Any suggestions?

I did contact ebay 'live help' and they couldn't help! When they asked me to clear cache/cookies everything crashed and I lost the connection. I feel I am likely to get more help from the boards.....

Which browser are you using?

In Firefox you can right click on the page and select Save Page As

Then left click on the orange Firefox at the top left and select Downloads.

That will bring up your download and then double left click on the selected download,(it will then pop up in your

main browser).

Then just right click on the page and select print, good.gif

Re: How to print out a listing?

You can print off any web page by clicking Ctrl+P

To only print a selected part of the page if you are running Windows you can find the snipping tool under Windows Accessories and select what you want to print and save it then print it out.

Re: How to print out a listing?

Thanks - yes I had tried Ctrl + P as well as File > Print....both options wanting to print the whole box and dice/garbage.

Did not know about the snipping tool so will investigate! That or the old screen shot. Is it really not possible to select

sections of a listing to print out now?

ps I use both Firefox and Chrome

Re: How to print out a listing?

If you can't find a "print friendly" version, I'd just screenshot the page, crop out the bits you don't want, then use a photo merging program to join the bits you want back together for printing. I used this online program the other night and it seemed to work well. I wanted to join parts of a document together vertically, so I needed to join the first 2 bits, save the results, reopen that joined part and add the next part to the bottom. There are probably more user friendly programs but this one worked OK for what I was trying to do.

Re: How to print out a listing?

Thanks! Another new thing to investigate. I thought another option would be to view the order but I kept getting an error and the order info wouldn't show. If it had been a paypal transaction I probably could have got a nice neat text version of what I wanted but alas I was doing cash/pick up.

well first if you just want a part of a listing - I would "colour it in" with my cursor and then Control + Print  > but choose SELECTION and then it will only print the blue bit if you know what I mean?

otherwise the snipping tool is great.
