There are a number of errors which seem to relate to similar issues.
You can try doing the following:
- Go to My eBay.
- Click onto Account.
- From the panel under My eBay Views / Account (on the left), click onto Personal Information.
- Under Financial Information, where it says "Checkout saved payment methods", what does it say? (It should say "You have no saved payment methods." If it doesn't, unlink the payment method.)
Another suggestion is to log in to eBay.ca (Canada) and action the payment from there. Once you've completed the payment, head back to eBay.com.au (assuming that the payment is successful).
