Log into your PayPal account , find the transaction and lodge a claim from there

This is a members board , use customer support (top of page rhs) if you needto speak to someone from ebay

This is just a member forum, so eBay won't be able to contact you via a post here, but if you paid with PayPal then the dispute needs to be lodged via PayPal.

Your best bet is to log directly into PayPal rather than through eBay, as the link from eBay to PayPal often results in an error (it will usually come up as saying the transaction ID is invalid when I try, no idea why because the ID is valid).

Once you locate the purchase in your transaction history, you should be able to open a dispute that way.

I assume you did pay with paypal - if not, then you can not lodge a dispute thru paypal. If you paid with a credit card you may be able to request a chargeback from your credit provider, if you paid via bank deposit you are at the mercy of the seller.

Ebay would not direct the dispute to Paypal unless that is the payment method used.

OP do you actually have a Paypal account, if you paid as a guest then you will have to open a Paypal account using the same email address that you linked the payment to and then the transaction will be in your account and you can click on it to open a dispute.

If that is not the case and you are just not able to log into Paypal or cannot find the transaction give Paypal a call and ask them if they can sort it out for you.
